Commonly Used Clicks and Keystrokes

The following is a quick summary of the keystrokes, functions, and so on that are covered in this document.

· Switch between applications in Windows with <Alt-Tab> or <Ctrl-Esc>.

· <Alt-F4> to close the active Windows application.

· Click and hold mouse button on an icon to display text that describes its function.

· Drag column divider lines or time scale division lines to adjust column widths or time scale width. Double-click on the time scale minor grid (in the lower half of the header) to cycle through time scale denominations.

· Double-click in the spreadsheet area's header to modify the spreadsheet layout double-click in the time scale area's header or the task bar area to modify the time scale layout.

· Indent/outdent tasks with <Ctrl-Left> and <Ctrl-Right>, or move them up/down with <Ctrl-Up> and <Ctrl-Down>.

· Select a group of tasks to indent, outdent, or connect them end-to-start in series.

· Use the connect tool to connect task pairs, or to assign resources.

· <Ctrl-C> to connect task pairs, or several selected tasks in series.

· <Ctrl-P> to quickly bring up the Print Preview.

· <Ctrl-Tab> to quickly switch between windows/views.
