Adobe Type Manager, BitStream Facelift and Other Font Managers

If you have Windows 3.1 and the printed output is garbled, or there is a General Protection Fault in GDI.EXE, check to see if an old version (pre version 2.0) of Adobe Type Manager (ATM) or BitStream Facelift (pre version 2.0) has been installed. Older versions of some font managers are not compatible with Windows 3.1.

Replace the ATM or Facelift fonts in Time Line with Windows' True Type fonts (as described in Fonts, above). If this does not solve the problem, temporarily disable ATM or Facelift, as described below.
