SAVE OFTEN!

When working with ANY software (not just Time Line for Windows), it is prudent to perform a File Save often. By saving every 10 or 15 minutes, you will never lose much work if anything unexpected happens to the computer or software. Shoot for 10 or 15 minutes between saves, but also shoot for saving at those times when you feel most confident about the changes you've just made. This way, you will always have a 'good' copy of your schedule to work on again (File, Open, don't save the current copy) if you decide that you DON'T want to save your most recent changes.

Similarly, many people back up or copy their work to another disk once a day, in case something happens to the disk their working with. Sure, malfunctions are rare, but don't they always seem to happen at the worse possible time!? Again, this is good practice for ANY software.
